That was what Kit asked me today. She saw the buckets of color and thought EASTER EGGS!!!! Well, she was wrong. She got her hopes up. No Easter egg dying for a couple weeks yet. "What are you doing then?" she asked. "I am dying yarn of course!!!!" was my reply. "Oooohhhhh, you dyin yarn". Ya I decided to dye my yarn today, I just couldn't wait any longer. I wanted to know exactly how it would turn out, especially since if it does, I would love to make some nice variegated colored cotton yarn. Well I took a pic of what I needed then I took a pic of each bucket. I also took a picture of one skein (well it was in a skein lol) hanging up in the shower drying. I didn't take a picture of the rest because, well I don't like showing off my horrid looking shower walls!!!! Once the yarn dries, I'll take pics of it, I used three skeins of white, and one partial skein of ecru, just to see how it turns out.
***note to self: when dying yarn the next time, use a different color scrap yarn to separate the hank, it would make it a lot easier to untangle...
(I used white scraps of yarn to separate the hank so it didn't untangle, but here when I was done dying, I couldn't find those pieces of yarn that I tied, so it was a chore getting it untangled UGH lol.
