Basketball anyone?

Sissy was in basketball this year. She really loved it, although she loves everything that she can join in on. Her last "game" was last Thursday. They don't play actual games, but they perform at half time at the high school girls games, and they also performed at half time at a college game. I didn't go to that one, I stayed home with kit and lil' biffy and "K"s mom came over and we knitted. So sissy's daddy and papa took her to that game. She's already getting excited to join basketball next year. My sissy is the one with the barrettes in her hair.

Toilet paper and canned tuna, what else does one need?

Since going back to talk a little about Christmas, I have decided to share what went on the day after Christmas. My older sister, her fiance, and their children, and my mom and my younger sister, were all coming over to my place to celebrate Christmas. I was having a tough day, trying to take care of my three kids, trying to clean up the house since i wasn't home the day before (after we opened up presents on Christmas morning the girls played for a little while then we went to "K"s parents house), a guy came and looked at our furnace, then of course when he got there it fired right up for him, ugh figures. I still hadn't wrapped what I had gotten my little sister, who is 11 but will be 12 on the 11th, so I thought that I would be creative. We had bought her a game boy game that she wanted. Well when you wrap up a game boy game, its way obvious unless you have a box to throw it in, which i did not. Being tired and stressed I needed something to brighten my day before I ended up with company and got crabby. Well I found a gift bag to put the game in, that was great so it wouldn't be obvious what the gift was. But I wanted to take it one step further, I needed amusement, I really did. I started looking around, well on the counter was a roll of toilet paper that lil' biffy had stolen from the bathroom, I started laughing hysterically, I grabbed the toilet paper and threw it in the gift bag. Well I couldn't stop there, that was just way funny, had to make it funnier. I grabbed a can of tuna, now in tears with how hard I was laughing, and threw that in the bag too. Well then I thought, you can't have just tuna, you need something to go with the tuna, so I grabbed some cheesy noodle tuna helper and threw that in there, chuckling at the thought of how clever I really was. After all that I had to hurry it up to the bathroom so I didn't lose it in my pants. Once done, I saw a lone package of Ramen noodles on my microwave cart, they were so lonely I had to throw them in the bag too lol. Then I grabbed the game and stuck it underneath the cardboard bottom piece of the bag and organized the contents of the bag, then threw in a bunch of tissue paper and was done. Well after all that playing around, I looked at the time, oh crap!!! My family was going to be there any minute! I got ready real fast and was still trying to tidy up the place real quick, I didn't realize that I had been playing with that gift bag full of gag gifts for almost an hour!!!
I thought that since this is a blog I use or should use, mostly for knitting, I thought I'd post a picture of what sissy got from my older sister for Christmas. She was really excited when she saw what it was! It's a knitting kit to knit animals. Of course she hasn't done it yet, but I'm sure she will soon.

Grandma got Kit Dora's Magical Castle!!!! I think that was her most favorite thing that she got this year, she still plays with it everyday lol. Of course she's saying now that she needs Boots, Swiper, Benny, Diego, and all the other characters so she can really play with it lol. No picture of lil' biffy bifferton, all the pictures I got with my camera she turned her face away from me, oh well what can ya do, she's only one lol. In other news, I gave my mom and sister their dishcloths that I made for them. I didn't get around to taking a picture of my sister's that I made, but I did take a picture of the cloths I made for my mom in her football colors. My sister wasn't too keen on the knitted dishcloth, she said she felt bad for using it, it was like using a blanket to wash her counters lol, finally I yelled at her and told her she better use it!!! She says she uses it now so thats nice. My mom loves hers and wants more more more!!!!!!

Christmas, what the hay!!!

So it has been awhile since I have posted anything, but I haven't been doing much knitting, haven't had a chance with the kids and other things going on. Well I still wanted to blog about something, anything at all. I haven't posted anything about Christmas, so I thought I would blog about that even though its almost a couple months past lol. Here you see a picture of our tree, I'm sure you can guess who put the lights on, yes it was him not me! As for the ornaments, that would be sissy and kit, oh and my other half not only put the lights on, but he was also behind the lovely job with the garland on the window ***gags*** LOL. So Christmas was interesting this year. We had been having problems with our furnace and it just so happened that right before I was going to head to bed, the furnace quit UGH! So, not only did I have to set out gifts before I made my way to sleepy time station, I also had to wake up "K", who is my boyfriend for those who don't know, then I had to turn on the electric heaters, and go around covering the girls with extra blankets. It was almost three in the morning by the time I was able to go to bed. Of course that is why I was so tired when I first woke up and didn't take a picture of the tree with the stockings in front of it, I let the girls go through their stockings while I was trying to drink my morning coffee so I be alert enough for them to open gifts. I can't blog about this past Christmas without posting pictures of the girls of course!
This is lil' biffy, playing with her new phone. Next to her you can see the quilt I got for her, I should have taken a picture of it laying out, but you can kind of see it. She really didn't know what to think with all the presents and toys, it was so cute! She had lots of fun with her new toys and even more fun with all the wrapping paper and boxes that were scattered all over the living room floor.
Kit with her walking sweet steps my little pony that she really wanted! That Santa sure is a nice guy isn't he?
Sissy with her new CD player!!!!! She was way excited to see this from Santa, since we had given her a Hannah Montana CD, she said "now I have my own radio to play my new cd!!!!!" The girls had such a nice time, I just love seeing their faces all lit up on Christmas morning.
