YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!!

Yes, I am very ashamed, for I have been naughty. I am becca, and I have a problem. I can't seem to finish one project before starting a new one. I know, its horrible isn't it!!! lol. Ok so here's why I did what I did, I was soooo tired this afternoon when the little biffy monster laid down for a nap, well kit decided she didn't want to nap. Fine, so I thought well I might as well knit. Well I was way too tired to knit the other slipper, my mind was just not working at all, hmmm imagine that. So after three rounds I noticed it was all wrong, and that's when I came to the conclusion that I should not be working on the slipper because my brain was on a trip to Tahiti, and I tell you what I'm getting sick of not getting souvenirs when it returns! I couldn't take that much needed nap, I couldn't work on that slipper so the other one will stop screaming at me about how lonely it is, what was I to do to pass the time? Ah Ha!! An idea came to me, I'll start something easy, something that doesn't require my friend brain, so I looked through some patterns, and found something easy. I started working on some wrist warmers, a pattern from lion brand. The yarn I'm using is the No Boundaries yarn that Wal-mart had for a little while. I like the colors and I've had it since spring time and didn't know what I was going to do with it, until today of course. So that project will be my "I can't work on anything else right now so I'm going to work on this" project lol. So I will still get that slipper made, I will probably work on it tomorrow before I get tired and then after lol.

The Lone Slipper

Well, well, well what is this we have here? This, is the lone slipper of course! This is what I started in on as soon as I got my DPN's in the mail. It is looking mighty lonley don't you think? I have yet to cast on the other one though, how horrible of me!! I really do need to cast on that other slipper very soon, yes yes I do. My poor daughter has been anxiously waiting for her slippers to be done. So, I don't think I did too horrible for my first time using dpn's, what do you think? So, with the two little ones needing me every three seconds, and then their father calling me every five minutes, I'm totally drawing a blank as to what else I should write about. So I think I'm going to leave it at this short paragraph, and maybe when they all go to sleep I will post some more and take some more pics of something lol.

couldn't resist the yarn...

Ok, I have decided to show what I bought the last time I was at wal-mart, even though I wasn't suppose to buy anything, so that means SHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! lol. I wasn't going to buy any yarn at all, just get what I needed to get and get out. Well it didn't happen that way because of course I had to just go "look" at the yarn quick. You would think I would have learned by now, that I can't just "look" at the yarn without buying any at all. Well I saw that they had Red Heart Soft Yarn. I figured I better get some, not much but some lol. So I bought five skeins, one of each of the colors I liked. I wish I could have boughten more, since I'm guessing they aren't going to carry that yarn anymore because it was all marked down from $2.88 to $2.00. Hopefully they still have some next time I get a chance to get there. I really do like the colors I grabbed, and I WANT MORE!!!! lolol. I guess that means I better get a job lol.

Needles, Needles, Everywhere......

Oh, my my, it seems it has been over a month since I have posted, can I say OOPS!! Ok, so since before x-mas I have been whining up a storm about NEEDING dpn's to my bf. Telling him all of the things that I NEED to make and how I can only make them with dpn's. I never said I wanted some, just that I needed some, hoping he would get the hint. So one night there I sat in front of the computer, and I decided to check out e-bay, just to look at yarn and needles. He kept peaking over my shoulder, and finally asked me what it was I was looking at. I told him that I was looking at double pointed needles. Well he saw the needles I had up on the screen and he said, well thats only $15 bid on them! I told him no, that he didn't have to do that, but you know in that tone of voice that says I'll be really sad if you don't force me into bidding lol. He then insisted that I bid, so I did. What we bid on was sets of four dpn's in sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, and 11. We won them and I was super excited. All I had to do was do some whining for a month, and then drop the subject and drop little hints, (ie. looking at them on ebay lol) and boom!!!! He gives in. I love it lol. I thought i would share my new, well not so new since I've had them for a couple weeks, toys with you all.
